Board of Governors: Dan Mullen

Dan Mullen, CEIA Executive Director
President, AIM Global

Mr. Mullen is President of AIM Global, the trade association for Automatic Identification and Mobility. Mr. Mullen has led the volunteer organization and staff through strategic change over the past 4 years while managing the day-to-day activities of the association. As an industry advocate, Mr. Mullen has appeared on international news television and been interviewed by a multitude of local, national, and international media outlets, including BusinessWeek and Fortune, addressing bar code, radio frequency identification (RFID) and many other AIM technology topics.

Previously, Mr. Mullen served as the Vice President, Technology. In this role he managed the development of international industry standards efforts. He was the industry's primary liaison with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the international standards committee for Automatic Data Capture – ISO/IEC JTC1/SC31. Under his leadership bar code symbology standards have moved from industry documents to internationally accepted specifications and the AIM RFID Experts Group (REG) develops essential RFID implementation guidance.

A graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a degree in electrical engineering, Mr. Mullen has also earned an MBA from Duquesne University.

For more than 30 years, AIM Global has served as the association for and worldwide authority on automatic identification, data collection and networking in a mobile environment. AIM members are providers and users of technologies, systems, and services that capture, manage, and integrate accurate data into larger information systems. Serving more than 900 members in 43 countries, AIM is dedicated to accelerating the growth and use of Automatic Identification and Mobility technologies and services around the world.
